Former site of the old Suikerunie sugar factory, closed in 2008. While still somewhat undeveloped, the area is already used as a cultural venue and event site, mostly for raves 😎 What makes it interesting is this temporary phase. Before the full redevelopment into the new district De Suikerzijde, the city is already activating the former industrial site instead of leaving it empty. Access by bike is made easy by a cycle-only bridge.
